   State Fund "Agriculture" - Paying Agency (SFA - PA) approved 128 project proposals under sub-measure 6.3 "Start-up aid for small farm development" which is part of measure 6 "Development of farms and enterprises" of the Rural Development Program for the period 2014 - 2020 (RDP 2014 - 2020). The investment proposals of the candidates are submitted by selection procedure № BG06RDNP001- 6.008 through the Information System for Management and Monitoring of EU Funds in Bulgaria (ISMM) 2020.

   Under the procedure, all 128 project proposals that have successfully passed the stage of technical and financial evaluation have been approved for funding. The approved grant for the projects amounts to BGN 3,755,136.

   Letters of approval are to be sent to the candidates and administrative contracts are to be signed with them. We remind you that a total of 197 projects were submitted for consideration, of which 55 projects did not pass to the next stage, and some of them were withdrawn.

   The financial aid for one candidate under sub-measure 6.3 through selection procedure № BG06RDNP001-6.008 is gratuitous and is up to the BGN equivalent of EUR 15,000, divided into two tranches. The first payment amounts to the BGN equivalent of EUR 10,000 and is made after the conclusion of the contract between the beneficiaries and the SFA - PA. The second payment, in the amount of the BGN equivalent of EUR 5,000, is transferred after an inspection of the SFA - RA and after the correct implementation of the business plan has been identified.

   The last admission under sub-measure 6.3 was targeted - aimed at the development and strengthening of small farms in the livestock sector. Priority was given to farmers who have registered livestock farms for small ruminants, pigs or birds with a larger number of animals at the date of submission of the project. Farmers have had to keep animals that had been killed by African swine fever, small ruminant plague (sheep and goat plague) and avian influenza.
