A total of 114 applications, to the proposed amount of over 14 863 000 euro, were submitted under the National programme for development of the vineyard sector during financial year 2010 – 2011. The application deadline, which was initially in April, was extended twice – and set to July 1 this year. The budget set aside for Bulgaria for this period is 22 022 000 euro.

Stockbreeders raising cows, buffalo-cows, suckler sheep and suckler goats can apply for aid between June 27, 2011 and July 15, 2011 in all regional directorates of State Fund Agriculture.

The fund will pay more than 16.2 million leva to beneficiaries if their investments are successfully realised. The Expert Commission for Transparency (ECT) approved 27 projects under Measure 123, Adding value to agricultural and forestry products, to the amount of 11 118 173 leva.

The contracted amount under the Rural Development Programme is about 62 million leva. 38 contracts to the amount of 48 737 750 leva were signed with municipalities under measures 321 (Basic services for the economy and rural population), 322 (Village renewal and development) and 313 (Encouragement of tourism activities).
