EUR 341 million for investment in infrastructure in rural areas
EUR 341 million is the estimated budget in the Programme for Rural Development 2014-2020, to support investment in the infrastructure of small towns in rural areas. Projects were accepted from September 2 to October 3. Financial assistance of EUR 150 mln. is provided for construction and reconstruction of municipal roads and facilities. EUR 50 mln. are allocated for the repair of streets in villages and EUR 85 mln. are allocated to the construction and rehabilitation of water supply systems in rural areas. The estimated budget for kindergartens and schools in rural areas is EUR 40 mln., and the one for facilities related to the cultural life in villages is EUR 10 million. The financial assistance for construction and renovation of social infrastructure is EUR 6 million.
