Nearly 4 000 applications submitted for startup aid for development of small agricultural holdings
Nearly 4 000 applications were submitted for support under the measure for startup aid for the development of small agricultural holdings of RDP 2014-2020. The budget for this round of application under this measure amounts to the BGN equivalent of EUR 30 million, whereas the total subsidy requested by the applications of farmers is approximately EUR 55 million. The objective of the measure is to support the economic development and strengthening of small agricultural holdings in Bulgaria, as well as their modernisation and technological progress. The financial aid will be provided in the form of a grant for a maximum period of five years.
The evaluation of the projects submitted for compliance with the criteria is expected to be completed by the end of September.
