Pest Control in Perennial Crops
March this year was the deadline for submitting applications for the State Aid Scheme for compensation of farmers’ costs related to the implementation of the measures under the National Programme for Pest Control in Perennial Crops for the winter of 2016. 2,267 farmers applied for the scheme. A total of BGN 3 million will be disbursed, 2 million of which – for plant protection products in the period after the cold weather, until budding. BGN 1 million will go to products to accelerate the processes of decay of leaves in winter, which are applied during the mass leaf fall in autumn.
By 15 April farmers must report the implemented activities to SFA. The contracts must be signed and the funds paid by 27 May 2016.
