   State Fund Agriculture has started transferring the first payment to farmers who have contracts under the Start-up Aid for Young Farmers sub-measure from RDP 2014-2020.
   At the end of March nearly 500 young farmers with such contracts received grants to the equivalent in Bulgarian leva of EUR 12 500. The total transferred funds are nearly BGN 11 million.
   The total financial aid per candidate is no more than the equivalent in Bulgarian leva of EUR 25 000. The grants come in two tranches – one after the contract for financial aid is signed, and another after the paying agency checks whether the business plan is being executed strictly.
